NY Fashion Week SS 2011: Favourite Rodarte looks

Rodarte again showed us some beautiful pieces in this SS 2011 collection. For me there was too much of a gold coloured overdose happening, but what I did love were the conservative high waisted trousers combined with buttoned up shirts and cozy but formal turtle necks:

NY Fashion Week SS 2011: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Somewhat younger, somewhat less serious and somewhat less renewing than Marc Jacobs but still, it stays enchanting.

Marc Jacobs SS 2011: Completely unexpected, yet inspiring

It was only a matter of seconds until SS 2011 would show us some serious Seventies. And of course, who else could it be but trend forecaster Marc Jacobs?
Besides the seventies inspiration the collection had sort of a gipsy/isla bonita kind of feeling, which was a little surprising considering Marc Jacobs last fall collection was such a conservative one. But that's why we love him: he wouldn't dare boring you.
Jacobs wouldn't be Jacobs without a personal touch: again he uses unexpected fabrics and an innovative colour palette to make sure nothing would seem like a complete rip off from the actual Seventies.
